Close, healthy, supportive relationships between mentors and mentees last for the entire school year,  Each mentor meets with their mentee 1 hour a week over the course of the school year, totaling 40 hours of direct contact.

The relationships is built using an approach that defines the mentor as a friend, not as a teacher or preacher. The mentor's role is to support the youth in his or her various endeavors.

Why should I become a Mentor?

Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter.
