Mentoring youth

WILD Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes, advocates and provides resources for mentors and mentoring initiatives throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area.  


Close, healthy, supportive relationships between mentors and mentees last for the entire school year,  Each mentor meets with their mentee 1 hour a week over the course of the school year, totaling 40 hours of direct contact.  


The relationships is built using an approach that defines the mentor as a friend, not as a teacher or preacher. The mentor's role is to support the youth in his or her various endeavors.

Why should I become a Mentor?

Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter.
